Sparkly nails make me feel happy. Despite the fact that I have tons of silver, glittery polishes, I somehow felt the need to add one more to my collection. “Ignite the night” by Essie is a part of the Encrusted Treasures Holiday 2013 Collection. It’s described as “the scintillating light from this sparkling hematite nail lacquer with a superfine matte finish fans the flames of passion for luxurious fashion.”
One thing that I love about this polish is that it has a matte finish (very similar to OPI’s liquid sand) and the fact that the glitter is highly pigmented. Some of the glitter polishes that I own are actually quite sheer and in order to get a similar effect I would have to apply at least 3-4 coats, which can be a pain to remove and dry as well. Two coats of “Ignite the night” are enough to get a beautiful coverage and finish.
No more glitter polishes for me. For now.
