Essie Tuck It In My Tux

A while a go I told you guys just how much I love a nice, solid, white mani. I recently fell in love with Essie’s Tuck It In My Tux, which is a more subtle and delicate option.

Tuck It In My Tux is a gorgeous, silky, ivory color. It reminds me quite a bit of Essie’s Limo-scene and Back in the Limo. Similarly to Limo-scene, Tuck It In My Tux has a sheer formula, and those tend to be a bit streaky, but I didn’t find it difficult to work with. It’s definitely not a very opaque polish and I did have to apply three coats to get the color payoff I desired. Two coats weren’t enough for me, because it looked sort of like an unfinished french mani. I’m sure you know what I mean, right?

It’s a very subtle, classy and feminine color and a nice alternative to solid white, as it’s not as intimidating. It has these lovely pastel vibes going on, that make it a great, all-year-round color (even though it was released as part of Essie’s Winter 2014 collection).

It sucks that it’s not thick enough, but the color is really beautiful!

I absolutely adore the color, such a nice nudey shade. But yeah, would like it a bit more if it was thicker – but still it looks good ;)

Wow this looks fantastic on you! Normally I would stick to other colours, but this really inspired me to try it myself. I wish that lighter colours such as these didn’t require so many coats though.

It’s a shame you have to apply three layers to get it right. But it’s a beautiful colour, I love that colour nail polish. I’ve actually looked at it in the store a couple of times but never bought it. But it really is pretty. I have so many Essie nail polishes haha! Most of my collection is Essie actually. Amazing brand!

You’re nails look perfect, they’re such a lovely shape. Never tried an all white mani like this before, it looks nice but I’m afraid I wouldn’t have the patience for three coats, although I do like the unfinished mani look with just two coats :) xx

I lovee this colour :) The fact that it’s sheer doesn’t bother me because I think the finished look looks so classy :) x

Yay! I’m glad you found something that makes up for that other Essie nail polish that let you down, I think it was the cashmere matte one. This looks really nice! Sheer polishes are actually some of my favorite ones, I think I’ve gone through two bottles of Sally Hansen’s shimmery diamond strength polishes in the shade “Fairy Tale”
