Five-minute makeup

five-minute-makeupOnly have a few minutes to get ready? You can still make yourself look hella pretty.

With only five minutes on the clock, eyeliner wings and day-time smokey eye are out of the question. Here a few of my favorite “five-minute face” products.

For the base: Too Faced Hangover Primer is awesome at multitasking- not only is it a great primer but it works amazing on dry and tired skin. It will make your skin look (and feel) fresh and healthy. You can totally skip your moisturizer when using this (but don’t forget the SPF!) For a minimal coverage I love Chanel’s Vitalumière Aqua. It’s a very thin and light foundation so it blends in very quickly, you can even use your fingers to massage it into your skin. It instantly makes my skin look better and it wears very comfortably. I thankfully don’t have to worry about dark circles too much these days, so I usually skip the concealer when it comes to my “five-minute face”. I love reaching for MAC’s Prep + Prime highlighting pen in Light Boost. This doesn’t really provide much coverage but it does brighten up the skin, on daily basis I just apply a little bit under my eyes, but not too close to the lash line. When I’m doing my makeup for a special occasion or whenever I go for a bit of a heavier look, I use both concealer and this highlighting pen, combined.

For the eyes: cream eyeshadow will always be your best friend when it comes to creating a flawless look with only a few minutes on the clock. I love Maybelline’s Color Tattoo in “Barely Branded” and Dior’s Diorshow Fushion Mono Eyeshadow in Blazing (#631) which is just gorgeous and has the most beautiful sparkle. No time to mess with eyeliner, so a few coats of good mascara will have to do: Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara gives amazing volume and makes your lashes look big and voluminous- so you will still look like you’re wearing eye makeup, even if in reality, it’s quite minimal.

For the Lips: once again keeping it simple with one of my favorite lip products, ever: NYX Soft Matte Lip Creams. Here I used Tokyo. I love these because there’s no need for lip liner, they’re a matte product, but they’re not drying, they come in lots of stunning colors and are long-lasting as well.

Final touch: I finish off with Shimmer Brick in Rose, which not only adds a lovely glow, but a bit of color as well. I finish off with my favorite perfume and I’m out the door.

What are some of your go-to “five-minute face” products?
