Lovin’ Lately

There were quite a few new products that hit my beauty stash last month. Some of them are still waiting to be opened and tested- some of them I’m already loving.

One of them being Pixi Glowtion Day Dew brightening lotion that I reviewed just yesterday. To read more about it, you can see yesterday’s post right here. If you like MAC’s Strobe Cream, you’ll definitely like Glowtion too.

Few weeks a go, I also wrote a review on Milani’s Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment. While I didn’t think that these were moisturizing enough to use as an overnight treatment, they’re pretty good at bringing instant relief to dry and cracked lips. My favorite out the three that I picked up is the Moisturizing Almond Coco.

Another lip product that I’ve been loving lately is Borghese Hydrology ReStore Conditioning Treatment. It’s sort of like an exfoliating/moisturizing mask for lips. You apply a thin layer, gently massage it in, leave on for about 2 minutes and rinse. It leaves my lips feeling smooth and moisturized, it’s perfect for prepping your lips for lipstick application.

Last month, I also raved about BECCA’s Afterglow Palette– swatches and review right here. It’s absolutely stunning and I’ve been using it pretty much daily since I got it. I kind of wish that this palette had a few cool-toned shades, but I know that I’ll be using it even more during summer.

Guerlain’s Meteorites Baby Glow foundation is a base that I usually reach for during summer, but for the last couple of weeks I’ve been using it almost daily. My skin has been doing great- the Tretinoin dryness and redness  is pretty much gone, so light coverage is all I need. I totally forgot just how natural and pretty this foundation looks on skin. It’s funny because couple of years a go I never thought that I’d love something as light and airy. Because my skin was so bad I’d only go for very full coverage foundations that often felt heavy and cakey. You can find my review right here.

Laura-Mercier-powder

I also have new favorite concealer and setting powder. Laura Mercier’s Translucent Loose Setting Powder is my favorite thing ever. It looks natural, blurs little skin imperfections and it doesn’t make me look extremely pale- which is something a lot of translucent powders do. A few years a go I had a bad experience with Laura Mercier primer and foundation- my skin broke in horrible hives (thank God for Sephora’s amazing return policy) and ever since then I’ve been staying away from LM products. Over the last couple of years though I’ve tried a few here and there and haven’t had a bad experience, although I have yet to try any of their primers or foundations again.

Last, but not least: Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Weightless Concealer. The hype is definitely real with this one. It’s incredibly lightweight yet does the job, it doesn’t crease, covers nicely and the lightest shade- Fair Neutral- is a perfect match for me.

Hope you’re all having an amazing Sunday, I am SO pumped for the game tonight and cannot wait for next Sunday’s mid-season premiere of TWD!!!
