Lovin’ Lately

Happy May, friends!

So…. I gave you all a little sneak-peak into my beauty stash, so you probably have an idea of all the products I’m trying/testing out at the moment. There are A LOT of new products that I have yet to try and this month’s Lovin’ Lately is short and sweet.

I already talked about Bobbi Brown Radiance Boost Mask in this post, and I still reach for it quite often- especially because all I need is 5 minutes when using it. It never fails to make my skin look brighter and radiant, my serums and creams also always apply like a dream after using this. It’s a perfect, quick pick-me-up for my skin. The fact that this comes in a tube is a giant bonus!

The e.l.f Illuminating Palette is probably one of my favorite drugstore products I’ve tried in the last couple of months. These powders are so delicate, soft and leave a slight sheen on the skin- and this palette is only $6.00!

Victoria’s Secret Bombshell is not the type of fragrance I usually go for. Not at all. I’m all about woody, spicy, vintage-y scents, but years a go I really loved VS Bombshell Spray, so this perfume really brings back a lot of fun memories. It’s a light, girly fragrance- nothing too sophisticated, but sometimes it’s exactly what I need.

I finally got my hands on this beautifully packaged Under(cover) Perfecting Coconut Face Primer from Marc Jacobs, after seeing how much Nida loved it. This really reminds me of Too Faced Hangover Primer and is just as amazing at hydrating my skin and really makes foundation blend into skin beautifully. Whenever my skin feels oily I also use a bit of Benefit’s Porefessional around my T-zone on top of this primer as it’s not your typical silicone primer that fills in the pores. I think if you have dry-normal and even combo skin, you’d really like this.

This past month, I also absolutely fell in love with Purlisse skincare products, especially their Blue Lotus Brightening Serum, Blue Lotus Eye Adore Serum and Pur-Moist Hydra Balance Moisturizer. Love that all of these are very gentle on my skin, they leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated. Even though I’ve used the Brightening Serum for only about two weeks, I can already see a slight difference in the appearance of my hyperpigmentation. You also know just how picky I am with my eye creams, and I’m happy that this one doesn’t burn or irritate my skin. It works really well under concealer, too.

Tried any of these? What are some products that you’ve been loving lately?

I love the too faced hangover primer! I mix mine with MUFE mattefying primer on my T-zone when I’m feeling oily. Only thing I don’t like about the hangover primer is the strong smell of coconut water that’s in it. Yuck!

Ahh yes! I’m not usually a fan of any fragrance in skincare and makeup, but unfortunately I don’t think it’s going away anytime soon!

Aw great products, Paula! I’ve wanted to try that primer from MJ for so long now. It seems like such a great primer and I’d like to see how it does for my oily skin. Beautiful pics, dear!

Thank you so much Mika! Not sure if you’d like that primer if you have oily skin, since it is very moisturizing! I definitely recommend trying to get your hands on a primer first, if you can!! x

I am addicted to VS, but my addiction is still on the lingerie level. Not that it is a cheap one, but at least not everything in my bedroom is just VS yet ;)

Great post! That Marc Jacobs primer sounds so interesting, but too bad I’ve got oily skin and it may not suit me too well. :)

Ahh no, if you have oily skin, I’d stay away! Unless you’re both oily and dehydrated, which can happen!

I have been wanting to try the coconut primer! I have the Marc Jacobs Foundation and I have been wanting to get the coconut primer to use with it. So you think it is worth it?

If you have normal/dry skin, yes! This primer definitely wouldn’t work as well with oily skin, but it does feel amazing on dry/dehydrated skin!

That elf palette looks beautiful! I also like the sound of these Purlisse products, they must be good if you can tell the difference in your skin in such a short time. x
