As much as I don’t like “shopping” (by this I mean “going to the mall”), I like to stop by sephora once in a while. I could stay there all day, unfortunately, usually after about five minutes I come close to having an anxiety attack due to numberless strangers bumping into me and my sudden visions of running out of oxygen take over and I have to leave. Anywho, my recent stop was short and sweet and not only am I still breathing but I also bought few products that I really like.
First, bareMinerals Simply Irresistible. This little box comes with three shimmery shadows, a blush, all over face color, a black eyeliner, a mascara, coral lip-gloss and a double sided makeup brush. The set also comes with a tiny booklet instructing how to “get the look” step by step. First of all, I think that this kit is a great value, I believe I paid about 49 bucks, which I thought was well worth it. The shadows are very pretty, stay on all day, as is the blush. The blush color is highly pigmented and has a crazy pink color which I was kinda nervous about, but it blends really well and only tiny bit is enough to get a nice color. The only thing that did not impress me was the mascara, which promises “flawless definition curl & length” which I did not experience, and think that covergirl’s lashblast is a lot better. Nevertheless I love this little kit and think that it could also make for a nice gift for any makeup junkie.
Another product that I bought was a facial cleanser: Boscia’s clear complexion cleanser. It’s very mild, which my sensitive skin can definitely appreciate, especially in winter time, but at the same time it calms breakout prone skin without drying it. I think that it’s the best cleanser for acne-prone skin that I’ve used in a while and it’s definitely a keeper. Another skincare product (not purchased from sephora) is Eearth Essential’s Active Age Defense i-cream. I was looking for an eye cream that didn’t cost a fortune but was something other than typical drugstore brands (just because I tried a lot of them and did not see any effects). My concern just protection, I don’t suffer from dark circles or puffiness, just wanted to start using something that would moisturize the thin skin around my eyes and this really does the job. I ordered from amazon.com, I can’t remember the exact price but it was under 10 bucks. This cream feels so nice and smells so good that I never forget to put it on day and night:) I already noticed a difference in the texture of my under-eye skin.
Last but not least I bought few nail polishes (kinda obsessed about buying nail polish). As usual I got Essie (my favorite) in nothing else metals which is kinda purple-y-pink-y-metal-y color and jamaica me crazy, glittery berry color which I think is perfect for holiday season, I don’t know why, I just think of Christmas when I look at it. :) I also decided to try covergirl’s outlast stay brilliant nail polish in constant candy, just because it was the perfect bubble-gum pink color that I feel I’ve been looking for forever. The color is very pretty, but I needed about three coats to get the perfect shade. I guess my search for the perfect bubble gum pink color shall continue.
