NOTD: Essie Sable Collar

Essie sable collar swatch

Sable collar is a “luxurious pearlescent cocoa plum polish that adds a touch of luxe to any look” and is part of Essie’s Winter 2013 Shearling Darling Collection. This color is perfect for this time of the year and I’ve been rocking it for the last two weeks, I just can’t get enough.

Sable Collar Essie

If I were to describe this color in my own words, I would say that it’s a multidimensional shade that changes tones depending on the light source. At first glance it looks like a dark brown shade that changes into a deep purple color. As always with Essie’s nail polishes, it last for at least a week without any chipping. Another thing that I love about it is that it does not bleed, unlike a lot of other dark nail polishes.

This is actually a really nice color! At first I thought it was a lot more metallic and that I wouldn’t like it, but I think I was wrong =)

I know right! I thought it was going to me more metallic as well that’s what it looked like in the bottle, it’s such an unusual color.

This shade looks heavenly for the holiday season :D Plum shades are gorgeous xo

The fact that it doesn’t bleed is a bonus as I am so messy when it comes to applying nail polish haha :)
