Every glow-getter’s must-have from Pixi

Pixi Glowtion Day Dew review

I’ve always had a lot of love for Pixi products, but never fell in love with one as quickly as I did with this one.

You probably already saw me declare my love for Pixi Glowtion Day Dew* on my Instagram. The minute I put this stuff on my face, I fell in love. One of my favorite skincare/makeup products is MAC’s Strobe Cream- not only does it leave my skin glowing, it actually has pretty good ingredients and works great as a moisturizer. Glowtion Day Dew is a very similar product.

“Advanced illuminating skin-perfector nourishes & soothes while giving a boost to dull skin. Featherlight and hydrating, this moisturizer imparts a natural-looking radiance to skintone, making it look healthier & more even. Lavender oil calms, kaolin purifies, and mica brightens.”

What I like:

– first thing that I have to mention is the packaging. I love that it comes in a tube and the fact that it has a pump is a bonus. You know that I’m not too big on jar packaging when it comes to skincare- active ingredients don’t stay stable when you constantly open and close the jar and expose the product to the environment and air- this is why the fact that this comes in a tube is a HUGE plus for me.
-it’s hydrating
-non-irritating and soothing
-it adds a nice glow without looking greasy and it makes your skin look gorgeous and healthy
-it blurs small skin imperfections, which makes it work great as a primer
-smoothes the skin and looks beautiful under foundation

What I don’t like:

-I wouldn’t use this under foundation when in direct sunlight- unless you don’t mind looking a little sparkly.

Glowtion Day Dew Pixi

It’s been a while since I’ve tried a skincare/priming product and fell in love with it as quickly as I did with the Glowtion Day Dew. I love that it feels so comfortable on my skin, love how glowing and healthy it looks every time I use it. I’m not sure yet if I love it just as much as my beloved Strobe Cream, but it’s definitely a keeper and I’ve been using it everyday for the past week- even when not wearing makeup.

Have you tried any Skintreats from Pixi? If so, which is your favorite?

It looks gorgeous in your swatch! I haven’t tried anything from Pixi yet! This looks like it would be perfect for summer.

I’ve had the strobe cream in the past and I think this option looks a little bit more natural, so I am loving the glow it gives off. I like the fact that it’s hydrating too always a plus for me :) x

This looks like a lovely product! I’ve seen Pixi sold in Target, do you know if they are sold in store anywhere else?

This really does sound lovely, although having oily skin I’m always hesitant of anything dewy as I never want to be mistaken for being excessively oily when I’m not. I’ve never tried Pixi either but it is a brand I’m seeing far more frequently! x

This works great under a mattifying foundation. It’s hydrating but doesn’t feel greasy at all.

This does sound really gorgeous, although as I have oily skin I’d be a little bit nervous about trying it! It’s lovely to hear that it blurs imperfections as well :)

It’s hydrating, but doesn’t feel greasy at all. My skin is naturally oily too, and i love this!

I haven’t tried anything from pixi actually but this sounds really good. I think I’d love this in the winter time when my skin is extra dull, and I love that it blurs imperfections.

It’s really cold here in the US right now and this works so well with my skin, brings instant relief to any dryness.

This looks absolutely lovely, I have been meaning to try Mac Strobe cream but haven’t got a chance to get my hands on it. And now I’m intrigued by this one too.
Can you like do a comparison swatch of this and the mac strobe cream I would love to see that.

This one has a bit more glittery look when hit by direct sunlight. I’m working on a post on some of my favorite glow-giving products I’ll make sure to add comparison swatches of those two!

I tried the MAC Strobe Cream and that one made me TOO glowy, so I don’t know, if the Pixie Glowtion Day Dew is similar to that one it may not be for me.

This looks so pretty, lately I’ve really been into that glowy dewy look. I need to give this and the contour powder a try. My local Target never have all their Pixi products in stock though.

Oh my gosh I love Pixi products – so hard to find them here, I have to resort to my mom coming to visit me every so often or bribing friends to bring me some…
