Vichy/Dermablend Corrective Fluid

vichy dermablend fluid correctiveI finally found a foundation that will stay on my skin longer than 1 hour:)  Vichy Dermablend Corrective fluid foundation has an awesome coverage but at the same time is surprisingly light. I think I’d compare the coverage to my Estee Lauder’s Double Wear, but minus the super heavy feeling. Main factor that I love about it, is the fact that it actually will last my entire workday, without me having to blot or powder, at the same time it doesn’t enhance dry patches on my skin, that I tend to get around my chin. Now, it claims to last 16 hrs; maybe on someone who has normal skin it might, but not on mine which like you already know, is combination skin. But I am in no way complaining! I wouldn’t be able to even stand makeup being on my skin for so long ;)

The previous formula of this foundation contained SPF20, however, the new one does not. During the day I always use an SPF35 moisturizer under my foundation anyway, so it really doesn’t make a huge difference to me.

The texture is very liquid-like and blends onto the skin very easily and the coverage is build-able. I had previously experienced allergic reactions to Vichy skincare products (they are very popular in my home country) so I was a bit nervous, but fortunately I didn’t experience any reactions with this product. I ordered mine off of www.dermstore.com for $30.00 (Shade 25 Nude-there are only four shades, Opal, Nude, Sand and Gold).

This is a “before” picture:

b4 After I put a very thin layer on, using a beauty blender, I went back with a small brush and tiny amount of the foundation only in those places that needed extra coverage.

Hey ! What setting powder did you use ? I notice that it looks a lil’ bit darker before applying the powder, I’m very interested since I got it too in shade 25 nude and it is too dark for my skin, got mislead by 25 nude normateint which I had been using before, thought the shades are equivalent. Also, I didn’t find a difference on coverance between the two but looking at your pictures I see very good coverance.
    Anyways, 10x ! :)

      Hi!:)
I always use Makeup Forever’s Pro-Finish powder foundation to set my makeup. The shade that I use is 120-Neutral Ivory. This foundation does oxidize a little after few hours, it just changes color to a darker one so this powder really helps me out with that. Hope that helps!!

You’re gorgeous! With or without make-up! Will definitely give this foundation a try since I’ve battled with severe acne that have left me with a lot of scars.

Hi Paula, i was wondering which shade are you in MAC terms? i’m debating which shade I should get in this dermablend corrective foundation. it’s so tricky to figure out on the internet the right shade. thanks! x

I’m around NC15. It’s really hard for me to get a good match at MAC, they match me to something else every time I’m there hah :) Nude is not a perfect match for my skin tone, but I always set it with MUFE Pro Finish Powder in 113 which is lighter. This foundation does oxidize a little. I don’t really use it too often anymore, but if I were to buy it again, I’d go with the shade Opal.
