A touch of shimmer..

Here she is. My first Shimmer Brick by Bobbi Brown. I can’t tell you how long I’ve been waiting to get my hands on this baby. Pretty much every single time that I visit a department store that sells Bobbi Brown cosmetics, I always stop by the counter and swatch the Shimmer Brick compacts, in an attempt to convince myself that it’s totally okay to spend $42.00 on a highlighter/blush powder. Well, as you can see, I finally gave in.

There are six different Shimmer Brick colors, I couldn’t decide between Nectar and Rose, and ultimately I went with the latter.  This gorgeous shimmering brush on powder creates a subtle, natural, healthy-looking glow while adding just a touch of pink-y color to the skin. Even when used during daytime on my fair skin, the Rose Shimmer Brick still looks quite natural (as long as I don’t over-do it by applying too much of the product ;) ).

I use this product either on top of my blush or on its own on top of my cheekbones. It’s also great to use as an eyeshadow or on lips (I just dab a bit right in the center of my lips, after I’ve applied my lipstick, to make them look fuller).

The packaging is also a huge plus, it’s a mirror compact that is very sturdy and sleek, but a bit bulky at the same time. With .4 oz (10.3g) of the product, it seems like it will last forever.

I think it’s safe to say that I’m slowly becoming obsessed with Bobbi Brown cosmetics. Are you a fan?
