hyaluronic acid serum review

I’ve been on a hunt for a good moisturizer that would help my combination skin. Recently I read in a Jemma Kidd book that Hyaluronic Acid is the best agent for dehydrated skin. I came across this Hyaluronic Acid Serum on Amazon and when I saw great reviews, I ordered it. (I can seriously spend hours on the beauty section on Amazon). I was looking for something that would give me an extra boost of moisture, without causing breakouts, but I can’t help that when I hear the word “acid” I immediately think of Salicylic Acid or Glycolic Acid which can act as irritants. Hyaluronic Acid is actually a substance that naturally occurs in our bodies, it aids tissue repair, and is also used in many skin care products; it is even used as a filler (when injected to the skin it can help fill in wrinkles and add volume to the skin).  When applied to the skin, it acts as a hydrating moisturizer, as it penetrates deep into the dermis, it aids collagen production and helps skin’s elasticity and hydration.

This serum literally feels like water on the skin, doesn’t irritate it, doesn’t burn or tingle, the specific serum that I got is 100% pure (for under $10.00). I use few drops either mixed in with my moisturizer, or directly on my skin, although I like mixing it with my moisturizer, so it doesn’t leave my skin feeling too tight. I think that this has really helped to control my oily skin A LOT, and finally I have gotten rid of the dry patches around my nose and chin. It doesn’t have any fragrance and does not feel sticky. This actually surprised me, because the consistency is gel-like. Bottom line: I love Hyaluronic Acid:)
