THIRTEEN THOUGHTS

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

Bobbi Brown Eye Cream Review

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream

When it comes to skincare there is one area where I’m a bit hard to please: eye creams. I’ve used anything from CeraVe to Estee Lauder eye creams, and while most of them were nice, they were not quite what I needed. Bobbi Brown’s Hydrating Eye Cream is a different story.

One thing that pretty much every single eye cream I’ve used lacked was hydration. The area around my eyes tends to be extremely dry and the only thing that has really helped me battle that so far was argan oil. I usually applied my eye cream and once it was absorbed, I’d pat in a few drops of argan oil into my under-eye skin. I just didn’t feel like any of the fast-absorbing eye creams provided enough hydration.

While doing some Christmas shopping back in December I bought some Bobbi Brown products for both my mom and my mother in law. I received a few deluxe-sized samples with my purchases, one of them being this exact eye cream. After I used up the sample I saw a noticeable difference in the skin around my eyes. It was more supple, not as dry and my concealer didn’t not cake up on me when set with powder. I was so impressed that I knew I had to get the full-size version.

Bobbi Brown Hydrating Eye Cream contains aloe vera and witch hazel extract to soothe and comfort and jojoba seed, avocado oil and squalane to condition and revive the skin. This eye cream is great for hydrating and refreshing, helps with that morning puffiness and isn’t irritating (which a lot of eye creams tend to be on my skin). It also feels very, very luxurious. Despite this eye cream being super hydrating, it does absorb quite quickly. It works amazing under my concealer, really a great way to prep my skin for makeup application, but I’d definitely recommend to wait until the cream is fully absorbed. This doesn’t seem to have any anti-aging properties, and while I think anyone could really benefit from this product, I think that it would be ideal especially for those of us who are in their twenties.

The price, not surprisingly, is a bit high: $50.00 for 0.5 oz, but I can guarantee that this little jar with last for ages. The deluxe sample that I received lasted me nearly a month, and that was with nightly/daily use. As soon as I run out of this, I’m buying Bobbi Brown’s Extra Repair Eye Cream, which I also got to try out (it’s even more moisturizing and has a much, much thicker and greasier formula which I loved). Did any of you try Bobbi Brown’s skincare products before? This was my first, and I have to say I’m impressed!
