THIRTEEN THOUGHTS

Denim on denim

denim on denim style

I finally worked up some courage for another OOTD post :D . Autumn is one of my favorite seasons in terms of fashion and style. To me, this time of the year is all about layers, chunky knits and… you guessed it: denim! ;)

I remember once reading a fashion guru Tim Gunn’s column in one of the magazines in which he said that jeans are big “yes” but “jeggings”, on the other hand, are a huge “no”. I don’t care if Kate Moss herself gave me a call and told me the same thing, I love my jeggings and I ain’t giving them up. Abercrombie & Fitch probably makes the best jeggings, like, everrr. They look just like jeans, but feel as comfy and snug as leggings. It’s like getting best of both worlds. This pair is probably one of my favorites, love the color, the fit and the things they do to my butt…. They just make it look good. There, I said it. The only thing missing is the front pockets, which I have to say I found to be quite annoying while taking these pictures. I didn’t know what to do with my hands (still getting used to being in front of the camera) and kept trying to put my hands in the front pockets.

I also bought my first slouch fedora hat few months a go, and even though at first I wasn’t too sure about it, I now wish I could wear it everyday. For some reason I always thought that my face is way too round and my head is too big to pull it off, but I guess you don’t know these things unless you try them :) .

My heels are by Steve Madden and they’re probably one of my favorite pairs of shoes that I own, they’re surprisingly comfortable. They also have these cute, simple ankle straps, but I took them them off today. I actually wore them to court on the day I got married. I had to walk through these steep-ass stairs and the court clerk said “guuurrl you better be careful with those heels!” “No worries-I said- I got this!”. I might have tripped once or twice, but didn’t fall ;)

This bag, LV Speedy 35 in Damier Azur Canvas is one of my most treasured pieces from my closet. I have two other LV bags, but this one was my first and will always have a special place in my heart. I remember saving money for it for months and months, while working and being in college. I’ve had it for years and still love it just as much as on the day I got it.

It was actually freezing cold this morning when we were taking these pictures, so I have to give special thanks to my beloved hubby who helped me take these :) .
