After seeing Essie’s 2014 Summer Collection display, there was only one color that was appealing enough for me to buy it: Essie’s Urban Jungle. This beautiful alabaster orchid shade is edgy and simple, at the same time.
As with a lot of white or off-white based colors, I was afraid that Urban Jungle would be chalky and spotty. I was very pleasantly surprised that two coats provided an even and smooth finish. The color is a bit of an off-white with ever so slightly pink undertone and depending on the lighting, it actually looks nice. I think that this color will contrast beautifully with bronzed, summer skin.
These swatches were quite difficult for me to capture as I feel like sh*t today (I can barely move right now) and I really feel like I’m coming down with something. I still decided to to show you how beautiful Essie’s-Urban Jungle is, but now I’ll try to take a nap and/or have a little marathon of True Blood (Honestly, where has this show been all my life?
