What’s in my makeup bag : June

Before I get into today’s post, I really wanted to say thank you.

Thank you to all of you who took the time to read my last post and for all of your kind comments, it really means the world to me!!

Now, let’s take a look inside my June makeup bag.

For foundation, there are three different ones I’ve been reaching for the most: Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint, Chanel Perfection Lumière and Chanel Vitalumière Aqua. All three have a unique formula- Nars Velvet Matte Skin Tint is lightweight with good coverage and feels incredibly smooth on skin. I really like this foundation although, it doesn’t really stay matte on me throughout the entire day. Chanel Perfection Lumière is more long-lasting, with really nice coverage and natural finish. I’m still on Retin-A Micro and Tazorac, so there are some days when my skin feel very dry- that’s when I reach for Chanel’s Vitalumière Aqua– it’s an incredibly lightweigt, water-y foundation with light coverage. Also, I’m still loving Urban Decay’s Naked Concealer.

I recently told you guys about some of my favorite highlighters in this post, and now that I’ve been reaching for the most, is probably the Marc Jacobs Glowstick in Spotlight, which I received from the Influenster. I apply it with my beauty blender and love that it works well with my skin, even when it feels very dry. One of my absolute must-haves during summer is Urban Decay’s All-Nighter setting spray, and lately, I’ve also been loving Pixi’s Makeup Fixing Mist– it’s formulated with Rose Water and Green Tea and I love using it before putting my makeup on, after and during the day whenever I need to refresh it up a bit.

YSL Les Sahariennes Bronzing Stone in Sunstone is probably one of my favorite bronzing products I’ve tried in a very long time. It’s perfect for fair skin since it isn’t too intense, doesn’t look orange or muddy. I like very natural-looking contour and this bronzer is amazing for creating that soft, defined look (see this post to see swatch and what it looks like when applied on skin). I also really like Soft Contour shade from the It Cosmetics You Sculpted Palette (swatches and review right here). Three other palettes I’ve been reaching for quite often are Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look In A Palette, Stila’s Spirit Palette and the Lorac Pro Palette.

Too Faced Melted Nude will probably remain one of my favorite everyday nudes for a very, very long time. I love how comfortable the formula is, there’s no need to use a lip liner with this product so it’s perfect to use in the morning, whenever I don’t want to spend a lot of time doing my makeup. Chanel’s Glossimer in #206 has been a long-time favorite as well and I like using it on those days when my lips feel extremely dry (from my acne meds). For some bright color, I’ve been loving MAC’s Vegas Volt and Flat Out Fabulous. For mascara, I’ve been reaching out for one my all-time faves, Chanel Le Volume De Chanel, pretty much daily for the last couple of weeks.
