I recently took advantage of the sale that dermstore.com had offered, namely, 20% off all La Roche-Posay products. Dermstore.com is one of my favorite online stores to shop for skincare. I ordered few products, one of my favorite ones has got to be Physiological Micellar Solution by La Roche-Posay.
This micellar water is so lovely on the skin, it can be used to tone, refresh the skin as well as to remove makeup. This is not your ordinary toner or an astrigent, it can be used around the eyes, it contains no alcohol and it feels just like water on the skin. Key ingredients in this solution include:
- Micelles – micro-encapsulate dirt on skin’s surface and lift it up without rubbing, thereby maintaining skin’s physiological balance.
- Poloxamer – a mild cleanser use in contact lens solutions to cleanse even sensitive skin.
- La Roche-Posay thermal spring water – antioxidant, strengthens skin’s natural defenses.
I’ve been using this product for the last week and I absolutely love it. I especially like to use it to remove my eye makeup. I do not like using makeup removing wipes anymore, especially around my eyes, because even the most delicate ones irritate my skin quite a lot. This solution removes even very heavy eye makeup very easily, without any irritation and redness, it’s ideal even for acne-prone and sensitive skin.
I also use this micellar solution to control my flaky skin. As I mentioned few posts ago, I have a new skincare routine that is very drying and leaves me with dry and flaky skin. Because I am trying to avoid exfiolation at the moment, using a scrub to get rid of my dry skin is not an option. That’s where this product comes in; after washing my skin with the acne.org cleanser, I put some of this solution on a cotton round and gently wipe my skin in circular motion. In effect, my skin looks smooth and the flakes are gone.
This solution can also be used to refresh your skin, especially on those days that you chose to go makeup-free and your skin gets a little greasy. This product is definitely a keeper.
