Pixi Beauty Fall 2015 Collection

New season means a lot of things to different people, but for us, beauty lovers, it usually means one thing: new collections and new product releases.

I had a chance to test out a few products from Pixi Beauty Fall 2015 Collection and I loved every single one of them. As you know Pixi Beauty is sold exclusively at Target and it’s all about getting that flawless look in just a few, fuss-free minutes.

Matte Lustre Lipstick ($12.00 each). These are described as “full-coverage, demo-matte, adjustable finish, with long-lasting, vivid color and a plumping formula.” I absolutely love the feel of these lipsticks on my lips, but I wouldn’t call the finish of these matte at all. It’s sort of a smooth, satin and glossy finish. The colors are very vibrant and the formula feels incredibly comfortable, but it does move around quite easily so a lip primer/liner is a must. These lipsticks feel like a luxurious lip butter, with an addition of a vibrant color. Two lipsticks pictured here are “Pure Fuchsia” and “Plum Berry”.

The Endless Brow Gel Pen ($11.00, pictured here is the shade “Medium”). “This pen’s unique gel texture makes it easy to fill in sparse areas & define, all while taming unruly brows. The waterproof formula glides on effortlessly and stays on endlessly, providing natural-looking enhancement. Contains conditioning panthenol and vitamins C & E.” I was very excited to try this brow gel pen, mainly because I love brow products. This pen has a unique hybrid formula; it’s a mix between a gel and wax. It adds color but it also keeps the brow hair in place. I definitely have to use a light hand when using this because the formula is quite potent and it can feel a bit heavy if too much is applied, but I do love it and I think this will quickly become one of my favorite brow products. It’s quick and convenient, and because of the waterproof formula I don’t have to worry about it wearing off, even on those busy, long days. Surprisingly, the color of this pen was also a nice match for me. As much as I love brow products, sometimes I do struggle when it comes to finding a shade that will look nice on me. My natural hair color is brown, I’m as pale as a ghost, but my brows are thick and black. I obviously can’t use black brow products because they make me look like Elvira’s long-lost cousin, so usually I have to settle for something in between brown and black. The Endless Brow Gel Pen in Medium might look a bit light, but it actually works perfect for me as it fills those sparse areas nicely without looking too obvious. I’m all about those natural-looking brows, knowwhatI’msayin?

Cat Eye Ink ($14.00). “This highly pigmented, waterproof liquid liner features a slanted tip, making it easy to create the perfect cat eye flick on any eye shape! The long lasting and fade-resistant formula has a non-feathering finish. 12 hours of intense colour wear.” This pen is great for those who don’t like using liquid eyeliner. It applies very easily, I love the slanted felt tip and the long lasting-formula. Sometimes with eyeliners like this one, barely any product comes out, but that’s not the case here. There is just enough product that comes out, and I don’t have to tug the applicator on my lid to force the product out. I think I’d like this liner even better if the tip was ever so slightly thinner.

In other news, Pixi Glow Tonic will finally be available for purchase at Target (yay!). Some of my favorite UK beauty bloggers have been raving about this toner for years now (I’m looking at you Liv) and I cannot wait to get my hands on a bottle of that goodness. I’ll probably hit up my local Target this weekend since it’s Labor Day Weekend and that’s just what I do for fun: walk around Target for hours.
