If you guys follow me on Instagram, then you probably know that few days a go I got this Collector’s Edition Sculpting Brush Set from Real Techniques.

If you’re a long-time reader then you also know that I’m not into heavy contouring when it comes to makeup and usually like to keep it very natural. One product that I’ve been loving lately is NYX’s Wonder Stick in “Universal” shade. I usually like to use my beauty blender to work the product in, but ever since I picked up this Collector’s Edition Sculpting Brush Set from Real Techniques I just can’t get enough of the sculpting brush that comes with it.

NYX Wonder Stick in “Universal”- this is what I’ve been using lately, it’s great for creating natural and not over-the-top highlight/contour

This Collector’s Edition Sculpting Brush Set from Real Techniques comes with three brushes: sculpting brush, fan brush and setting brush. The sculpting brush really reminds me of one of my all-time favorite Sigma brushes: F84 Angled Kabuki. The bristles of this sculpting brush are very dense and incredibly soft. The wide angled head is ideal for blending the cream products and creating defined contour. I find that because of its angled shape, it’s also pretty awesome for blending in my under-eye concealer. The fan brush from this set is another great multitasking brush. It’s incredibly soft and I love using for adding a subtle highlight, bronzing powder and also for sweeping away any eyeshadow fall out that I sometimes get. I’ve used quite a few fan brushes and I think I like this one the best. I find that a lot of fan brushes I’ve used in the past were not great at actually collecting enough product and I would find myself having to dip back and forth into my highlighting powder. The third brush in this set is one that I already have and love: setting brush. It’s great for setting your concealer and sometimes I like to use it to blend in my eyeshadow primer.

Aside from these obviously being very handy and useful, they’re also super pretty :) . I love the pink-chrome handles and knowing that other brushes from Real Techniques have lasted me years and years, I know that this Real Techniques Collector’s Edition Sculpting Set will last just as long.

This set is a limited edition release and a lot of places have already sold out, but I was able to find it on amazon right here (when I bought it last week from this same exact link, I paid $21.00, seems like they have now racked up the price to $30.00).
