THIRTEEN THOUGHTS

Soap & Glory “Flake Away” Body Polish

soap and glory flake away body polish review

Soap & Glory “Flake Away” Body Polish is probably one of the best smelling body scrubs I’ve ever used. It’s a very fresh, summer-like scent that lingers on your skin even after you rinse the product off. I wanted to try Soap and Glory products for quite a while now, mostly because I’ve seen so many people rave about their products. Because my bathroom is stuffed with lotions, creams and body butters that I need to use up, I decided to try their “Flake Away” Body Polish.

In addition to the scent, I also really like the formula and texture of this scrub. Here’s what guys from Soap & Glory have to say about this product:

This skin-smoothing body polish is made from shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt, and sugar for a formula that eliminates dry skin. The alluring scent of Soap & Glory’s signature Original Pink™ Fragrance – combines fresh bergamot, mandarin, rose, jasmine, peach, strawberry, and soft musk & amber base notes. Skin is left delicately fragranced, hydrated, super soft, smooth and conditioned.”

What I love about this scrub:

-I already mentioned this: the scent. It’s absolutely heavenly and very unique.
-The texture. At first, looking at this body polish, I was afraid that it would be too rough on my skin and cause irritation, but the grain particles are actually very fine and not abrasive. When working the product in on damp skin, the grains eventually dissolve.
-It does exactly what it says. It gets rid of dry and flaky skin, leaving it soft and smooth.
-A little goes a very long way. You don’t have to use a whole lot of product to get good results, which is always great.
-Body butters and lotions apply like a dream after using this stuff. I especially like using this before applying my self-tanner and before shaving my legs.
-Unless your skin is extremely sensitive, Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Polish is gentle enough for an everyday use, if necessary.
-It really does work amazing on rough and dry skin, this will definitely be my go-to product during colder months as well.

What I don’t like about this product:

-The packaging. Yes, it’s cute and pretty, but when you’re trying to use this in the shower, the jar can be difficult to open, also the water gets inside quite easily if you do open it in the shower. This is probably the only thing that I don’t like about this body polish. I think a tube packaging would be a much better idea.

With the exception of the packaging, I absolutely love this body polish! For those of you who have used Soap & Glory products, what do you recommend I try next?
