THIRTEEN THOUGHTS

What’s in my bag: beauty essentials.

what's in my beauty bag post

Am I the only one that carries about five lip balms with her at all times? Gosh, I hope not!

I don’t exactly know what the reason is behind carrying that many lip balms with me, I guess you can say that I like variety ;) . Some of my favorites include good, old Carmex (only the best lip product, like, everrrr), EOS lip balm in Sweet Mint, Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Conditioning Lip Balm (also great to use at night) and recently reviewed Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm.

I also carry a creamy concealer with me, just in case I need to touch up my makeup throughout the day: “Boi-ing” concealer by Benefit Cosmetics. I also love this beautiful, shimmery mineral eyeshadow by Bare Minerals in “Queen Phylis”. It’s such a great and multitasking product, I like to dab some in the inner corners of my eyes to brighten them up, use it as a brow bone highlight or as a highlighter for my cheeks, cupid’s bow, etc. It’s products like this one that can easily transform my look from an everyday-mascara-only look to a pretty, natural and glow-y one.

Some of my other essentials are a hand lotion; EOS Berry Blossom hand lotion; a nail file (because there is nothing more annoying than breaking your nail and not having a file around); a nail polish that I wear at the moment, just in case my mani chips (is this a bit extreme?) still obsessed with “Partner in Crime” by Essie; Victoria’s Secret small perfume spray in my favorite scent “Amber Romance”-gorgeous scent for Autumn; another purse-sized perfume in my “signature” scent “L’eau d’Issey” by Issey Miyake; countless lip products which usually change up depending on my makeup (my current favorites are Velvet Teddy” by MAC, NYX soft matte lip cream in “Milan and Nars lip gloss in “Turkish Delight”).

Being an oily girl I also cannot forget about powder. My all-time favorite is Pro-Finish powder foundation by Make Up For Ever-it’s a true miracle worker. For some reason I’m not a big fan of blotting papers, they just never seem to work for me and sometimes even give my skin a rash. Because I don’t usually like to use the sponge that comes with the powder, I also always carry a powder/blush brush with me. I got this Retractable Kabuki Brush by Eco Tools few weeks ago and it’s amazing. Works beautifully with powders, blushes, bronzers, you name it. One cool thing about it is that it has a cap, which keeps it nice and clean in my bag.

Can you believe that all of this fits into my tiny Sephora cosmetic bag? What are some of your beauty essentials? Any multi-tasking products worth recommending?
