Did you ever do anything stupid, beauty related, when you were younger? When I was 11 I shaved my upper lip.

After seeing that the hair grew back (I thought it’d be gone forever) I convinced my cousin to do the same. It was probably one of the meanest things I did as a kid, and I think she still holds a grudge to this day because she loves to remind me of my evil ways. For years, I used wax to remove the hair on my upper lip, but it’s such a tedious process; warming the wax, applying it, cleaning up, etc. I also tried a lot of hair-removing creams but they always irritated my skin and once I even ended up with a burn. While I do thread my brows, I’m too afraid to try threading anywhere else on my face (which is something my brow lady needs to be reminded bout every single time because she loves yelling “mustache too???!!!” whenever I come in to do my brows….).

Few weeks a go I saw Maree talk about Bliss’s ‘Fuzz’ Off on her Instagram (which you should totally follow, especially if you’re skincare-obsessed!) and I decided to give it a try. I think it’s one of the best facial hair-removing products I’ve tried. It’s mess-free, quick, easy to use and very effective. The only thing is that this cream is very irritating so if you want to give it a try but have sensitive skin, I definitely recommend doing a patch test first. I always make sure to use this at night as my skin gets very red and dry after each use, but it’s back to normal after a few hours. I also have stay away from any potentially irritating products immediately after using this. Totally worth it though!

aloxxi-texturizing-spray

Ever since I cut my hair short a few weeks a go, I started using a lot more hair products, especially texturizing sprays. Currently I’m loving this one from Aloxxi– it makes it so much easier to style my hair. I can just spray it on my dry hair and use my fingers to tease it a little bit and it gives me that pretty, undone, but done look. I also love using this spray as a finishing spray after curling my hair. I love how much volume it gives me and it also has a pretty hold strong, too (only without feeling sticky). I tried using this spray when my hair was long, and it really didn’t do anything for me, but it works great with short hair!

If you saw my 5 Nail Polish Color to Try This Spring post, then you probably already know about few nail polish colors I love right now. Three of my favorites are Marc Jacobs White Snow, Dior’s Bleuette and Smith and Cult’s Faunt-Leroy. Click here to see swatches of these.

In my Spring Beauty Update post, I also talked about going for lighter base at the moment and one of my favorites is Guerlain’s Meteorite Baby Glow. It’s a sheer “foundation” but I think of it more as a heavily tinted moisturizer (bb cream?). It gives a gorgeous glow, with light coverage and is perfect for those days when you don’t want to wear a lot of makeup but still want your skin to have that pretty glow. It’s also one of my favorite products to use on a bad skin day.

kiehl's-creamy-avocado-eye-treatment

I am so picky when it comes to eye creams and the only one that seemed to really *work* for me was Bobbi Brown’s Extra Eye Repair Cream. It’s very rich, thick and creamy (almost to the point of being greasy) works great for me, but also comes with a hefty price tag at $72.00. Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado works just as well for me. It’s also very rich and nourishing and I absolutely love it. My only complain with both of these, is that they come in a  jar- I’d love them both even more if they came in a tube.

pixi-glow-tonic

I noticed that pretty much every single one of my Lovin’ Lately posts includes a Pixi product, and this month’s post is no different. I finally (finally!!) got my hands on Pixi’s Glow Tonic and as you can guess, since I’m featuring it in this post, I’ve got nothing but love for this product. Despite containing a little fragrance, this toner formulated with aloe vera, ginseng and 5% glycolic acid, is very gentle on my skin. I’ve been using it daily since I ordered it and I have to say that it works great with my acne-prone skin. Hype is definitely real with this one!

What are some of the products you’ve been loving lately?
