Happy 4th of July, friends!

Hope you’re all having a fun and safe holiday weekend! In this month’s Lovin’ Lately, I’m talking about few summer favorites and my dry-skin saviors.

I’m still on antibiotics and retinoids both of which make my skin dry and I couldn’t live without my face mists- they always bring instant relief to my skin. Of course, one of my all-time favorites is Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater but I’m also loving Pixi Hydrating Milky Mist. It’s formulated with Hyaluronic Acid and Black Oat and leaves skin feeling nourished and refreshed (but not sticky). I’m pretty sure I already mentioned it in one of my previous posts and I’m still loving it, just as much. I also already mentioned Vaseline’s Lip Therapy LE version in Pink Bubbly* on my Instagram- I love using this at night.

Another product that my currently dry skin is loving is Marc Jacobs Perfecting Coconut  Face Primer. It’s hydrating, nourishing, smoothing and just ideal for dry skin. It works really well under foundation, and I don’t have to worry about any dry patches showing through.

I’ve been trying a lot of new hair products lately, most recently, the Marc Anthony Argan Oil of Morocco collection.* I’ll be honest, I am not too picky when it comes to shampoo and conditioner. Healthy diet helps out a lot when it comes to keeping my hair healthy, so as long as I rotate my shampoo & conditioner once in a while, pretty much anything works fine for me (except for Bed Head shampoo & conditioner I tried a few years ago- they almost made me go bold, no joke). These Argan Oil of Morocco shampoo and conditioner are great; they’re for all hair types, sulfate-free and are infused with Keratin, Grape Seed Oil and Argan Oil which helps to restore strength, protect from damage and revive shine.  Both the shampoo and conditioner smell amazing and don’t weight down my hair. The Dry Styling Oil is great for when my hair feels a little dry (like after spending some time in a pool) and leaves the hair feeling soft and smooth. The only thing that I wasn’t too crazy about was that this oil had a VERY strong scent. The Volume + Shine Hairspray was probably my favorite out of these four products. Finding a hair spray that actually works with my hair and gives it both hold and volume, is very difficult. This one works really well, without making my hair sticky or dry. By the way, Ulta now has these for buy one, get one 50% off.

NARS Matte Velvet Skin Tint is a base product that I’ve been reaching for quite often. It has a unique velvety, smooth formula and I really like the packaging as well. BUT (and this is a big “but”) this doesn’t really stay matte on me for longer than 4 hours, so I’m not sure how this would work with extremely oily skin. I’m loving it right now, but it might be because my skin is on the dry side.

Chanel Volume de Chanel mascara is actually an old favorite I sort of re-discovered a while ago. I’m actually planning on doing a post on some of my favorite mascaras, so you might see an in-dept review on this one very soon.

Last week I told you guys about some of my favorite bright lipsticks for summer, and my number 1 has got to be NYX’s Indie Flick. This is a perfect, bright, orange-red that works really well with my skin tone and hair color. The formula is absolutely amazing- comfortable, long-lasting with a gorgeous matte finish.

I’m pretty sure you’re all sick of me talking about the YSL Les Sehariennes Brozning Stone in Sunstone and yes, I’m mentioning once again in today’s post. That’s how much I love it. The shade is just perfect for my light skin tone and doesn’t leave me looking orange or muddy.

Another beautiful product that has a stunning packaging and is perfect for summer, is Bobbi Brown’s Sunkissed Nude Eye Palette. Four shades included here work really well together and have a beautiful color payoff: Bone (matte), Pink Bellini (with sparkle finish), Rose Gold (shimmer wash) and Smokey Brown (matte).

A few weeks ago I received a very generous package from Glitter Daze and ever since then, I’ve only been using/testing their polishes. I am so impressed with these- they have a creamy formula and most colors are so opaque that I can get away with only one coat. I love that even the pastel shades are incredibly creamy and apply beautifully, they’re not streaky at all and are very fast-drying, as well. I’ll probably end up doing an entire post, just on these- that’s how much I like them.

Last, but not least, one of my favorite body care products I recently discovered- Vichy Ideal Body Serum-Milk. This lotion is unlike anything I’ve used before. Usually I prefer using oils as body moisturizers, because I have dry skin, but this lotion is even better than some of my favorite oils. It has a very unique texture- sort of a mix between gel and a lotion. It leaves my skin feeling so smooth, takes care of any dryness and it actually keeps my skin feeling moisturized. This is definitely another summer favorite.

What are you loving at the moment?
