Bronze and shimmer, shimmer and bronze- this pretty much summarizes everything beauty-related that I’ve been loving recently.
Because I have to stay away from the sun, my collection of self-tanners and body bronzers has grown significantly over the last couple of weeks. Out of everything that I’ve tried so far, Body Per-fekt Matte Body Perfection Gel has to be my favorite. I already wrote a review with before and after pictures (you can find it right here if you missed it) and what I really love about this gel is not only how it makes my skin look, but how soft and smooth it feels to touch. It’s formulated with ceramides and shea butter and the Smart Color Technology creates a color that looks great, every single time. This is perfect for when you want instant, temporary color without spending any time in the sun or having to wait for your self-tanner to develop.
NUXE Huile Prodigieuse OR Multi-Purpose Dry Oil is another summer must-have for me. It feels so incredibly luxurious once applied to skin- it leaves it feeling soft, smooth, nourished and illuminated. It has a very delicate scent and I love that glow and shimmer that it leaves behind. The directions say that it can also be used on your face but I think that I might just a bit too shimmery for that.
Speaking of shimmer, I once again dug out my original NAKED palette and fell in love with it all over again. All those gorgeous shimmery bronze colors are perfect for the summer. Some of my favorites are Half Baked, Side Car, Smog and Sin.
I noticed that it’s been a while since I bought new nail polish and that’s because I’ve been rotating between two colors lately: Revlon’s “Sure Thing” and Essie’s “Tuck it in My Tux”. I just can’t help it, but I absolutely love white and creamy nail colors at the moment. Both were featured on the blog in the past.
Essie “Tuck it in My Tux”
Revlon “Sure Thing”
Two bronzers that I’ve been reaching for lately are Chanel’s Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Makeup Base and Milani’s Baked Bronzer in “Glow.” Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzing Base has a really fun gel-to-cream formula that allows it to blend perfectly into the skin and give a healthy glow. “Glow” Bronzer by Milani has been my favorite for a while, especially because of how natural it looks on me. I’ve also used it as an eyeshadow and a body bronzer on occasion.
Few weeks a go I wrote about the amazing No. 7 Skin Cleansing Balm that I found at Target. Around the same time I also finally decided to buy Clinique’s Take The Day Off cleansing balm, but I didn’t start using it until recently. I’ve heard nothing but great things about this balm and have to admit that it is indeed, worth the hype. It’s great at removing makeup, I love that it’s fragrance-free and non-irritating. I think that both No. 7 Cleansing Balm and Clinique’s Take the Day Off are very similar, although No. 7 Cleansing Balm had a more of a liquid-cream formula that left my skin feeling moisturized. Take the Day Off doesn’t feel as nourishing on my skin, but it might be a bit better at dissolving makeup.
Last, but not least is Clarins Body Lift Cellulite Control gel. When it comes to skin-firming products, Clarins has always been my favorite brand. Their products are the only ones that give any kind of results. I’m not quite sure that this gel will really help with cellulite (I don’t think any “product” can do that) , but it does wonders when it comes to firming and refining skin. This leaves the skin feeling very firm, tight and smooth and the results get better with each use.

July 3, 2015 at 5:51 pmI think I need that Essie shade, I don’t have anything quite like it in my collection, it looks so chic! Even though I have tons of palettes I didn’t have any Naked palettes, until today, I finally caved in and bought the original one and can’t wait to start using it :) x

July 4, 2015 at 10:53 amI always find that makeup removers are either really nourishing or really cleansing – it’s hard to find one that’s the perfect mix of both! That Milani bronzer looks beautiful as well!
