How’s everyone’s Saturday going so far? I’ve spend most of my morning taking lots of pictures for today’s and future posts. I noticed that I’ve been blogging much more often lately-published a post every day this week- so happy about that! Today’s post is a really quick one showing you my latest favorites in make-up.

MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation-this foundation was recommended to me by a makeup artist at the MAC store and to be honest I wasn’t completely sold- I really wanted to get a powder foundation instead- but after she applied it to my skin I decided to go with the liquid one. It provides a light to medium coverage with a natural matte finish. I like that it contains silica, which helps to keep oily skin at bay. I got matched to NW18 (usually I’m more of a NC15)- it looks so dark in the bottle, but once applied on my skin it looks quite nice and natural.

I’ve already wrote about Bobbi Brown’s Shimmer Brick right here, and I just have to say how much I still love it. I’ve been reaching for it every single day, it adds such a beautiful and subtle sheen to my complexion. I honestly think that it’s impossible to go wrong with this product, it’s delicate, natural looking and blends beautifully into the skin.

soleil tan de chanel 62

Soleil Tan De Chanel moisturizing bronzing powder in number 62-Terre Epice was a gift from my sister. I’ve had it for over a year now, but for some reason I didn’t use it much. I’d love to be able to contour my face, but unfortunately I feel that whenever I try to use a darker bronzer it only makes my scaring on my cheeks more visible. This bronzer is so subtle, it adds a bit of color without being harsh or overpowering.

lights camera action mascara

Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes mascara is simply amazing. the brush is great because it gathers just a right amount of product- no need to wipe any excess off. It gives my lashes a beautiful, natural look that can be built up to a more dramatic one with few extra coats.

mac pure zen nars turkish delight

MAC Pure Zen lipstick (bottom) and NARS Turkish Delight lip-gloss (top)- both are great for an every-day wear. Pure Zen lipstick is another product that I’ve had for a while, it’s a nice peachy-nude color that doesn’t wash me out. The NARS lip-gloss is a subtle pink color and it’s very moisturizing and long-lasting.

I never knew that the MAC liquid foundation had silica in it! I’m always scared of wearing liquid foundation in the summer (or just in general) because of my oily T zone. Would you recommend this for the warmer months?

I hear so many raves about that Tarte mascara! I think I’m going to purchase it and see if it compares to the Benefit They’re Real.

    Great post!
    :)

Thanks Iman! That foundation is pretty nice and holds up well during warm weather, but I still think that the best summer foundation for oily skin is Make Up Forever’s Mat Velvet, it’s so light and stays matte for a very long time.

Okay, I’d rather play it safe and get the best product for the season. Thanks for all the info!

I love MAC Studio Fix – it is so good and my go-to for long days out such as at weddings. Really, even after a 18 hour day (and a sneaky one hour nap), the foundation looked amazing!
I was looking at the Tarte mascara just a while ago and the brush does look cool – with the Kate Moss mascara I recently got, the brush is too big and makes such a mess – tarte one looks a lot better!

Oh wow 18 hours that’s impressive! I doubt it’d stay that long on my oily skin haha but I like it a lot, regardless!

The wand in that mascara is just right! Not too big or small, just perfect.

It’s so exciting you’ve been blogging everyday Paula, your posts are getting more amazing by the day (and that’s no mean feat!) :D

You have such a fab array of make-up products, and these are certainly no exception! ;) Bobbi Brown’s shimmer brick sounds like a treasured find, it truly does! It’s lovely that it blends perfectly too, always a winner for when using a shimmer.

Your lip products look gorgeous against your skin tone; NARS Turkish Delight Lip Gloss is such a perfect pink for summer, and I bet it goes really prettily with your dark hair too! Pure Zen also looks really pretty and unique too, nice to find a peachy shade that packs a pretty yet subtle punch! <3

Pure Zen looks so lovely, I have to pick it up! Studio Fix Fluid is so lovely, isn’t it? I prefer lighter formulas as of late but it’s really a lovely foundation for a higher coverage one!

Yes, it’s surprisingly nice (not usually a MAC foundation fan) ;)
