Do you always have trouble finding a matching foundation? Maybe you’re in search for some new style and/or beauty inspiration? If you said “yes” to either of those questions make sure to keep on reading.
If you’re anything like me you might always have problems with finding a foundation that truly matches your skin tone, or is very close to a matching one. Findation.com is a website that uses data from over 1,583,000 users worldwide with a proprietary algorithm that matches shades between the brands. For example, if you know your match from MAC, you can find your match for L’Oreal and vice versa. This always comes in handy to me when buying new foundation, especially online (trust me, I’ve had professional makeup artists match me to a foundation shade that looked ridiculously dark one me, so even If I plan on visiting a makeup counter in search of new foundation, I always check Findation.com for a match and write it down when I go shopping).
This is a website that I only discovered recently, but I’m totally loving it. One of the coolest thing about it? You can find a personal beauty guru that matches your skin tone, skin type, hair, eye color, etc. It also let’s you pick a perfect lipstick for your skin tone, and even lets you see what it looks like on different people with different features. There are also tutorials, reviews and swatches.
If you consider yourself a beauty junkie, but haven’t heard of Christine’s blog, then you’ve been probably living under a rock. Temptalia is filled with makeup reviews, swatches, dupes, etc.
I was obsessed with Makeup Alley long before I started blogging and it’s actually one of the few things that has inspired me to start blogging about beauty. Before making any beauty-related purchase I ALWAYS check the reviews on Makeup Alley. You can also download the MakeupAlley app and one of the most awesome things about it is that it lets you scan products and then it instantly brings up reviews on that given product. This makes shopping much more fun and easy.
Another blog that I used to spend hours and hours reading every day. She is a skincare expert who helped me make the dairy-acne connection and I can honestly say that her advice has changed my life. There are some things that I don’t necessarily agree with like Caroline’s rants about mineral oil and how bad it is for your skin and I think that the blog has changed quite a bit during the last couple of years, but it’s still full of extremely valuable skincare information. I love her Cheat Sheets for acne, anti-aging, cleansing, etc.
This one is great for both fashion and beauty lovers. Whether you want to know how to create a faux blowout, or how to style a maxi skirt, the fashion & beauty category on theeverygirl.com will surely have something for you.
Ever watch a TV show and think to yourself “I need to know where that dress is from?” WornOnTv is a website that helps you find exact matches to the pieces worn by actors in TV shows like Pretty Little Liars, New Girl or The Big Bang Theory. Pretty awesome, eh?
If you’re looking to follow a new lifestyle blog, you have to check Geneva’s blog. I absolutely love her style and really like that she also includes a lot of travel and lifestyle posts on her blog as well. One of my favorite posts from her blog is How to use Pinterest to Create Better Outfits.
I love the Beauty section on refinery29.com. It has great product recommendations and all the celebrity beauty scoop you need.
Another awesome website filled with great beauty advice, product reviews, celebrity makeup looks with a touch of diet and health inspiration.
Are any of the above your favorites as well? What other beauty and style-related websites or blog do you guys recommend? I’d love to know!

June 18, 2015 at 6:08 pmI love findation.com but it gets a bit wacky if you’re really pale (as I am), it doesn’t always match quiiite right. A very good starting point though!

June 18, 2015 at 7:51 pmI hear ya! I always have the same problem especially since I don’t have pink undertones and usually those are the undertones that very light shades have :|

June 19, 2015 at 6:49 amI love Temptalia & Caroline Hirons, but had no idea about the rest. I’ll have fun this weekend checking them out. Findation sounds amazing how did I not figure it out when I was trying to find my foundation shades and Savvyist sounds so intriguing x
