Nails of the week: Not a cloud in sight

not a cloud in sight nail polish

L’Oreal’s “Not a cloud in sight” is a part of their Trendsetter Nail Polish collection. I bought it a few months ago and haven’t tried it until now, I thought it was only appropriate since lately the weather (very much like this color) has been quite tropic-like.

“Not a cloud in sight” is a fun, dreamy turquoise color with a bit of green undertones. This shade reminds a bit of a Tiffany & Co. box, but slightly deeper. The formula of this polish leaves nothing to be desired: it’s rich and creamy, two thin coats was all I needed. I did notice that the polish sort of separates in the bottle, you can actually see it in the picture, but a simple solution is to shake the bottle well prior to application :) .

I have definitely been reaching for much brighter and vibrant colors lately when it comes to my nails. I’m not sure why this is, but I can walk around with no makeup, wearing sweats with my hair tied up in a messy bun, but I always, always have my nails painted. The only time that you will see me with bare nails is Sunday, Saturday night I remove all polish, put lots of nail and cuticle cream on and let them rest for a day. Kind of funny that I developed a little ritual like this one, it’d be nice if I could come up with a similar routine when it comes to styling my hair :D .

Thanks so much Christel! Love this color too. For some reason I was never into blue and green colors, but this one made me change my mind ;)

First of all, I’m really likin’ the name of this shade, so catchy! ;)

As soon as you mentioned Tiffany & Co box I totally got what you meant, and anything that reminds someone of Tiffany can’t be a bad thing haha! The colour is so glossy, plush and dreamy, and it’s fantastic that the application is really excellent for you, the shade just literally dazzles so beautifully in the photos :D

I admire you (well the list would be too long and take up a million pages if I noted all the reasons why :) ) but not only do you have such a flawless skincare routine and beauty regime Paula, I love how you keep your nails so healthy with such an awesome routine. I definitely need to take note ;)

Oh I love the name too, I think that most nail polishes always have cool and very fitting names ;)

Aww thanks so much Sophie, nails are just my thing, I guess! haha ;)
