What’s in my makeup bag: August

What’s in my makeup bag: August

August is quickly coming to an end, but I still get to show you what was inside my makeup bag this month.

With slightly cooler weather, I actually did get to play around with my makeup this month. My base changes all the time and that’s because one day my skin will be extremely oily, the next it’ll feel dry. Four products that I can always count on are: Chanel Perfection Lumiere Foundation, NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint, Urban Decay Naked Concealer and Make Up For Ever Pro Finish Powder. I also have a bit of love-hate relationship with the Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel Bronze Universel and right now, clearly, we’re getting along.

Marc Jacobs Air Blush in Kink & Kisses is another MJ product I received from Influenster. I’ll be honest- I like blush products, but they aren’t my favorite. This one right here, I fell in love with. A lot blushes are overly pigmented and look too bright or intense on my skin or aren’t too easy to blend. This shade is perfect and the formula is so incredibly smooth- I definitely want to pick up a few more of these. I don’t think I’ve ever liked pink-y blush as much as I liked this one.

If you follow me on Instagram then you know that I was lucky enough to receive another beautiful Voxbox- yay! This one came with a few Armani products: three Armani Smokey Neutrals Eye Tints in Gold Ashes, Nude Smoke and Fur Smoke and the Eccentrico mascara. These eye tints are beautiful, easy to work with and pretty long-lasting, as well. All three colors also work really nicely together.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs and Rosewater is the best facial mist I’ve ever used. I’ve been such a fan of this product for many, many years and I keep coming back. It’s great for soothing dry and irritated skin, a midday pick-me-up and I sometimes use it over my makeup, as well.

I’ve been using Too Faced Better Than Sex and Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara combo for the last couple of weeks. I usually don’t like layering mascaras, but this combo actually works for me. Better Than Sex gives lashes a nice volume while Lash Sensational lifts, curls and separates them.  Armani Eccentrico Eyes to Kill mascara is one that I’m still testing and didn’t really love it at first, I’ll let you know how I like it after I use it for a bit longer.

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips lippie in Miranda May is a medium, dark, pinky coral that isn’t like anything else I have in my collection. It has a matte finish and warm undertones that work really nicely with light skin tones. I love how comfortable the wear is- it’s not the most long-lasting formula but nothing a good lip primer can’t fix.

MAC Faux is one of my all-time favorite MAC lippies and I feel like I’ve been reaching out for it all the time. It’s a satin finish, mauve-y pink that works with pretty much any eye makeup look. It’s a perfect color for an “everyday” wear. Love!
