NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Balm

Nuxe Ultra nourishing lip balm

Just how many lip balms can a girl have, you ask? Way too many, perhaps. This one right here though -NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Balm- might be a game-changer.

Nuxe nourishing lip balm review

My lips are chronically dry and as you guys know I’ve tried tons of different balms and lip treatments over the years, some of which worked better than others. Ever since I started using a tretinoin cream, I’ve noticed that my lips have become even more dry and wearing any sort of lipstick left them feeling very tight and uncomfortable. I’ve heard nothing but great things about NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Balm over the last couple of years, but I doubted that I’d be able to find anything that works better than Dior’s Creme de Rose. I finally picked up a jar of this balm and yes, in my humble opinion, it is indeed better than my HG balm, Dior’s Creme de Rose (whaaaatt??).

Nuxe Ultra nourishing lip balm

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Balm ($19) is made in France and contains no parabens, with 78% of its ingredients being natural (Honey, Sunflower, Musk Rose and Almond oils, Shea Butter and Grapefruit essence). What makes this lip balm very unique is its texture; it’s very thick and quite waxy, with an extremely matte finish (which also means that your boyfriend can use this as well, without the fear of looking like he’s wearing lip-gloss ;) ). As you guys know, a lot lip balms have that glossy finish that leaves your lips feeling greasy- not this baby right here, and that’s what makes it different. I’ve been using this as a night treatment, and I think that it works the best as such. Because of the waxy formula, wearing this underneath a lipstick didn’t work for me, but it does work great overnight. Once I apply this only lips, I don’t have to keep reapplying in over and over again like I do with other balms- this stays on my lips for hours. After using this balm at night, I always wake up with smooth, chap-free lips that still feel nourished and soft.

Nuxe lipbalm review

So what about that hefty ($19) price tag? NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Balm is very much worth the price. I see this lasting me for a year (shelf life is 24 months). Because of this extremely thick and waxy formula, you only need a tiny dab; 90% of the time I actually apply too much of this stuff on my lips and have to massage the rest into my cuticles-that’s how concentrated this balm is.

Have any of you guys tried it?

I haven’t tried this one, but I’ve heard a ton of good things about it! I have terribly chapped lips too, so I might have to check out the NUXE counter on my next makeup run. Great post! Found you through the Beauty & Fashion Blogger Board on Pinterest :)

I’ve had this for nearly two years now and I still have so much left. Such a gorgeous, nourishing balm… I love it :)

This sounds amazing as I’m always dealing with dry lips. Have had my eye on it for quite some time now but want to finish up some of the balms in my stash first x

How freakin’ gorgeous is this?! From the off it looks so nourishing, soothing and calming for the lips and it’s awesome it worked even better than Dior’s Creme De Rose. Like I mentioned on your IG this balm just reminds me of some kind of yummy buttercream, butterscotch, buttercup blend of summer hehe ;) :P

Can’t stand those lip balms that leave that greasy residue on lips like you described, so even better that this one does anything but. And such a neat trick to use balm on your lips at night, you my guru babe know all the tricks of the trade ;)

As always your mesmerising photography just heightens the product to new levels of gorgeous-ness, that marble backdrop is just mesmeric Paula, love, love, love, LOVE (extra Keyshia Cole love to accentuate my point) :D :D

I havent tried this balm, but I think I need too. It sounds beautiful, and I could really use something to boost my lips overnight, as I often wake up with chapped lips.

    Another great review gorgeous girl.

Love NUXE products, heard this one a lot during my searchs but never tried, also heard a lot about EOS lip balm, bought it and so happy with the result, it works well with dry lips, now I can use my matte lip sticks ;)

EOS is just ok for me, I don’t think it’s anything special to be honest. I do have chronically dry lips though, and this works wonders for me! ;)

Great review! This is really a cult product in France, and I think it deserves its popularity. Too many “balms” only offer temporary relief, this one really nourishes and repairs!
