Taking it all off..

makeup removers 2As much as I love makeup, I cannot imagine going to sleep without taking it off. Doesn’t matter where I am or what time it is. Recently I discovered a really cool (literally) product, by Boscia: MakeUp-BreakUP Cool Cleansing Oil. It’s great to use everyday in the shower. It is very gentle, and despite it being called “an oil” it actually does not feel it has such consistency. It’s supposed to be applied on a dry skin and massaged in with circular motion, so it’s basically like washing your face with a cleanser.  It doesn’t really foam, but it makes the skin feel nice and soft and it has a slight “cooling” effect to the skin, most importantly, it does a great job at removing any makeup. I got mine at Sephora, for about $26,  a little goes a long way so it’s definitely worth it. It’s a great product for “lazy” makeup lovers, I know from experience that facial cleansers are not always great at removing heavy makeup, and can irritate skin when trying to do so, especially around eye area.boscia makeup breakeupNext is a drugstore product: Almay Oil-free eye makeup remover pads. I bought mine at BJ’s wholesale store, and I think I paid less than $10 for a two-pack, (each contains 80 pads) so it’s very efficient. They are 100% hypoallergenic and even though the label says 100% fragrance free, they have a very mild, nice smell which I don’t mind at all. I’ve mentioned before that my skin is very sensitive at times, and these pads do not irritate it at all. They are great for removing the eyeliner or mascara especially from lower lashes, where it tends to settle deep.

I use it only in cases of a special event, where I need to remove heavy eye makeup. It’s a gentle product, but If used too much it irritates my skin just a bit. It’s also great to clean gel liner brushes or correct any eyeliner mishaps (applied on a cotton swab). I got mine at Macy’s and I think I actually got it as a free gift when purchasing a foundation.estee lauder remover
